Caroline Pittman, flutist, is currently principal flute with the Park Ridge Civic Orchestra, a member of the CUBE Contemporary Chamber Ensemble and the 21st Century Music Ensemble. Her recordings include Peter and the Wolf, a Chuck Jones animation, Bugs Bunny on Broadway, and Janice Misurell-Mitchell’s On Thin Ice for Opus One. She received a gold medal from the 1991 New York Film and Video Festival for music she wrote for a sand animation Narcissus and Echo, and she has written music for four fairy tales for Encyclopedia Britannica. Ms. Pittman has played principal flute for the Joffrey Ballet Orchestra, the Ballet Chicago Orchestra, the Mexico City Philharmonic, and the Bellas Artes Opera and Ballet Orchestra in Mexico City, and has done extensive studio recording for radio and television.
